Our job is putting Nevadans to work.

Our communities, like many others regionally and nationally, are facing unprecedented economic challenges, including high unemployment, high home foreclosure rates and state revenue shortages. TMCC has been and will continue to be part of the solution: generating high-skill graduates who will strengthen the economic recovery of the region.

A Message from TMCC Honorary Chair, Bernice Martin Mathews

Hello, I’m Bernice Martin Mathews, honorary chair of the TMCC Foundation’s major gifts campaign, and it’s my pleasure to introduce this video detailing the scope of our efforts and the gifting opportunities available. As many of you may know, I helped develop and then taught in the college’s nursing program. Today, this program continues to graduate highly qualified nurses who work in our local community.

Given the realities of today’s economy, it’s clear that state funding and tuition and fee increases will not be enough to fuel the workforce development that Northern Nevada needs and deserves. The health of our economy depends on a highly qualified workforce, the creation of which is a responsibility we all share. Your financial participation in this campaign is the best way I know to begin creating a working, thriving Nevada. Won’t you please join us?

A Message from TMCC President Dr. María Sheehan

Students, for the most part, struggle financially. Most of our students work at least one job. They have a dream that they can change their lives by getting an education. They want to make a contribution, and so a gift to the institution can change a life.
